Background: Background: Peri-orbital wrinkles are a common feature of facial aging, and conventional laser resurfacing may be associated with considerable downtime and adverse effects. Pulsed-dye laser treatment offers a less invasive approach; however, its effectiveness for wrinkle reduction requires further evaluation.
Objective: This study evaluated the effectiveness of Vbeam pulsed-dye laser treatment in improving peri-orbital wrinkles.
Methods: A retrospective observational case series included 24 adult patients treated with Vbeam pulsed-dye laser for peri-orbital wrinkles. Treatment was performed using a 10 ms pulse duration, 10 mm spot size, fluence of 7.5 J/cm², and dynamic cooling device settings of 40 ms spray and 40 ms delay. Patients received one or two treatment sessions at 6–12-week intervals and were followed for 12 weeks. Baseline and post-treatment wrinkle scores were compared using a paired t-test.
Results: The mean age was 48.0 ± 8.4 years, and 79.2% of participants were female. Mean wrinkle scores decreased significantly from 3.13 ± 0.61 at baseline to 2.21 ± 0.66 after 12 weeks, with a mean improvement of 0.92 ± 0.48 (p < 0.001). Overall, 91.7% of patients demonstrated improvement.
Conclusion: Vbeam pulsed-dye laser treatment significantly improved peri-orbital wrinkles, suggesting its potential as a minimally invasive option for facial rejuvenation.
